The Divan Centre is a young think tank in Berlin. Organizing political and economic events as well as publishing studies, the Divan Centre focuses on geopolitical issues and contributes to mutual understanding between the Arab and European worlds.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Multi-perspective<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

Geopolitical, European and domestic issues are examined from a European and Arab perspective.<\/p>\r\n

Political Relevance<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

Financial support from the Embassy of Qatar ensures the independence of the Divan Centre. The Divan Centre acts completely independently in setting priorities, selecting topics and dealing with current events. The decisive factors are the political relevance and the need to classify current developments through analyses, background discussions and well-founded debates.<\/p>\r\n

In terms of content, the Divan Center deals with current political and diplomatic, economic and social international issues, especially in European and Arab societies, on both sides, taking into account the heterogeneity of the societies.<\/p>\r\n

The seat of the Divan Centre is the Divan – the Arab culture house – is the Villa Cal\u00e9 in Berlin-Zehlendorf, Sch\u00fctzallee 27, 14169 Berlin<\/strong>. Venues are the Divan \u2013 the Arab Culture House \u2013 as well as top-ranked hotels, the Bundespressekonferenzhaus (Schiffbauerdamm 40. 10117 Berlin) and other established forums in major German cities.<\/p>\r\n
