On 23 April 2024, the think tank ‘Divan Centre’ hosted a highly interesting Black Coffee with Dr Wolfgang Ischinger, former Chairman of the Munich Security Conference (2008-2022) and world-renowned expert on international relations.
The event, moderated by Ewald König, offered participants a comprehensive tour d’horizon of the current global centres of conflict. Ambassador Ischinger drew on his extensive diplomatic experience and outlined the most important developments, explained the background, did not spare criticism of German and European institutions and highlighted the complex challenges in the regions of the world.
Following his presentation, Dr Ischinger answered questions from the moderator and participants. As the event was organised on the basis of the Chatham House Rule, he was able to answer questions openly and confidentially.
The Black Coffee, which is always held in English, is attended by diplomats, journalists and other multipliers. This time, the interest was so overwhelming that many registrations could no longer be considered.
