On June 9th 2022, a round table discussion took place at the Haus der Bundespressekonferenz in Berlin. This round table, which was one of the events organized by the Berlin Forum for German-Gulf Dialogue e.V. , was entitled:” The nuclear agreement with Iran before its termination: What are the consequences for the region and the world? Several renowned experts took part in the discussion, which was held in English and highlighted the latest developments regarding the nuclear agreement with Iran and provided a deep insight into the geopolitical challenges and implications for the region and the world as a whole.
The discussion was chaired by Dr. Ali Fathollah-Nejad, Prof. Dr. Mahjoob Zweiri and Mathias Brüggmann. These three individuals are renowned for their extensive knowledge of the Middle East, regional dynamics and geopolitical contexts. The event was moderated by the renowned journalist Mr. Ewald König.
The discussion covered a wide range of issues, including the impact of a possible collapse of the Iran nuclear deal on security and stability in the region, the role of the international community, and possible avenues for de-escalation and diplomacy.
